Looking at Three Huge Saints Affairs Coming Up in the 2021 Season

It’ll be a new look in New Orleans in 2021, as no longer do the Saints have Drew Brees to fall back on as one of, if not a top five QB in the NFL.

Now the team will give the ball to Jameis Winston, the former Buc who came to the Saints a year ago to learn how the offense worked under Brees.

The team went 12-4, winners of the NFC South, but after beating Chicago in the wild card game, they fell to the eventual Super Bowl champs in the Bucs.

Look for the Saints to take a step back in 2021.

Here are the 3 matchups that I’m most looking forward to when it comes to the new-look Saints and Winston:

10/3 vs New York Giants – The Giants are an up and coming team with the likes of Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones leading the offense, but the Saints are confident they can hold down that pair and the rest of the team on offense. The Giants do have a good pass rush, something that Jameis Winston needs to make sure to be well aware of for this early October game.

10/25 at Seattle – The Seahawks at home are one of, if not the toughest teams in the league to beat. The prime time affair should be a good one, as the two teams know each other very well, but a win on the road over Russell Wilson and company can go a LONG way in establishing how good this Saints team can be. We will see if they get it done.

12/19 at Tampa Bay – Last year the Saints laid down a beatdown on the Bucs on the road at Raymond James, but then in February they had to watch as the Bucs celebrated with Tom Brady and company on that same field. If the Saints are going to get to the Super Bowl they have to beat their biggest rival. We will see if they can make it a long day for Tom Brady.
