The Saints have signed free agent cornerback Mark Parson to the practice squad, a league source said.
Parson (5-10, 190) entered the NFL with the Houston Texans, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio University in 2009. After a few weeks on both the Texans and Saints’ practice squads, Parson was signed to the Texans’ 53-man roster, spending six weeks as a gameday inactive.
In two pre-seasons’ worth of action with the Texans, Parson has 8 tackles, including two on special teams. Rookie quarterback Sean Canfield was released to make room for Parson.
