Jordan

There are a couple of teams on the list for now Raiders RB Lamont Jordan once he gets released by the team, and on that list according to NFL Network’s Adam Schefter is the Saints.  Schefter says that with the uncertainty of running back Deuce McAllister, the team wants to make sure they have enough quality backs, and Jordan may fit what they are looking for.  Don’t forget the team also showed interest and even spoke to Shaun Alexander, who is still on the open market.  Other teams that reportedly have interest in Jordan include the Bears and Lions.

After getting an offer from the Pats last week but not accpeting it right away, now there is word that another offer has been made to former Dolphins linebacker Zach Thomas. NFL Networks Adam Schefter is reporting that the Saints have given an offer to Thomas to join their team. They are in need of a middle linebacker, and he is a much better fit for the Siants and would be of more use to them then he would be in New England. Nothing about the offer in terms of money or years is known, but rumblings around the league are that the Saints are the front runners now to land Thomas.
