Saints Ready to Part Ways with Safety Kenny Vaccaro?

Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro is “likely on his way out” of New Orleans according to beat writer Larry Holder of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Originally the 15th-overall pick in the 2013 draft out of the University of Texas, Vaccaro ended up on injured reserve after only 12 games in 2017 after dealing with wrist and groin ailments. It was the third season in his five years with the Saints that Vaccaro has been unable to finish the season, as he went on IR in 2013 and was suspended in 2016.

Some team will likely pay handsomely for Vaccaro’s undeniable physical skills in free agency but at this point it does not look like it will be the Saints. The Dallas Cowboys were reportedly interested in acquiring the safety last offseason and could be one of the main bidders for his services in 2018 as they try to shore up their secondary.
