NFC South Podcast: Episode 1 The Shortest Review

The New Orleans Saints boasted one of the top NFC South and NFL offenses last season. Drew Brees threw for more than 5,000 yards at 70% with a 101.7 quarterback rating. Michael Thomas and Brandin Cooks both had more than 1,100 yards receiving with 17 touchdowns combined. But on the defensive side of the ball, the Saints were consistently embarrassed. In an attempt to fill these holes, the front office signed Nick Fairley and Manti Te’o. They also drafted Marshon Lattimore. These changes haven’t paid off just yet. They lose their first preseason game to the Cleveland Browns and Deshone Kizer looked like a veteran. The Saints must improve their defense or they don’t have a chance at winning the NFC South.
