As if a home 27-10 loss to the Bengals wasn’t bad enough, the Saints have more bad news, as it appears they have lost first-round pick WR Brandin Cooks for up to two to four weeks with a broken thumb.
ESPN reports the injury happened during the loss to the Bengals, a game the Saints led 3-0 early, but by the fourth quarter trailed 20-3, before losing 27-10.
Cooks is having a solid rookie year, becoming an instant threat for Drew Brees, leading all NFL rookies with 53 receptions for 550 yards and three touchdowns.
The Saints will host the Ravens next Monday night.
