Okay, we lost to the Panthers and there is only one week left in the regular season. As unbelievable as it sounds, in an unlikely scenario the Saints could still get the #2 seed and a first round bye. It would require the Saints beating the Bucs (in the Super Dome) and the Panthers losing to the Falcons in Atlanta (possible but highly unlikely.
At the end of the day it boils down to if the Saints win. Win and they are in, it’s that simple and looking back at the last half of the season it’s that urgent. The Saints game against the Bucs has been moved to 3:25 CST. It allows the Panthers to play the Falcons at noon and it will let the Saints know ahead of time if the possibility of the Saints winning the NFC South still exists.
