Saints and the Falcons on Thursday night. Even though we have two teams that are at the opposite end of the spectrum both statistically and record wise, none of that matters when the Saints play the Falcons. What you can expect is a tight game that goes down to the wire, like the first game of this season.
Add in that this game is being played in Atlanta and the Saints cannot overlook this game. For me the Falcons have been a mystery this season, yes they have had injuries but so have every team in the NFL.
|Team||Total Offense||Total Defense||Time of Possession||Points For||Points Against|
For the record:
Ahmad Brooks, the 49ers and their fans can keep shouting from the highest mountain about the hit on Brees during last weeks game. At the end of the game it was a penalty and that’s the end of the story. If you listen to Brooks he barely hit Brees in the chest, I’ve watched replay after replay and believed me the hit was in the shoulder and neck area and slid up to the head. That’s how Brees ended up with the blood and his helmet halfway up his head.
For the record part deaux:
New England was hosed in the Monday night game with Carolina. At the least defensive holding should have been called, giving New England another play 5 yards closer. In actuality pass interference should have been called giving the Patriots the ball at the one. When the officials make a call like that, the least they can do is explain, not run off the field as quick as they can. Even if the league comes back and says the call was wrong, they won’t go back and replay the end of the game. In cases like this, the league should devise a way to penalize the officials.
