Bill’s Power Rankings

Below is my power rankings through week 4. Usually after the first 3 or 4 weeks you start to see what teams are made up of. The changes to the rankings after that usually comes with the injuries and adversities that come with an NFL season as well as teams getting healthy later in the season.

Top 5 didn’t really change this week, the one thing that is interesting to me is that the top 5 teams in this weeks power rankings are all playing on the road, should make for some interesting results.

Rank Team W/L Next Game Comments
Broncos 4-0 @Cowboys Broncos are rolling, going to Jerry’s world won’t be a problem.
SeaHawks 4-0 @Colts Strong defense, exceptional play from their QB.
Saints 4-0 @Bears Offense is starting to click, defense is proving they are the real deal.
Patriots 4-0 @Bengals Just when the Patriots get their passing game in order they have a big loss on their defensive line.
Chiefs 4-0 @Titans Until the Chiefs get beat they deserve to be ranked where they are at.
Lions 3-1 @Packers Lions have a big three that can carry them when they are all healthy.
Bears 3-1 Saints Bears dropped a couple of spots because of the beating they took at the hands of the Lions.
Dolphins 3-1 Ravens Dolphins dropped a few point because the weaknesses that they had were exposed by the Saints
Colts 3-1 Seahawks Colts have a chance to put themselves up with the elites with a victory over the Seahawks
Titans 3-1 Chiefs Titans lost Locker, but with their defense they deserve to be this high.
49ers 2-2 Texans 49ers foung their mojo with their running game last week.
Bengals 2-2 Patriots Bengals can’t stand prosperity.
Chargers 2-2 @Raiders With Rivers looking like Rivers the Chargers are starting to rise.
Ravens 2-2 @Dolphins Do the Ravens have no running backs? Is that why they only ran 9 times against the Bills last week?
Cowboys 2-2 Broncos At 2-2 they are in 1st place in the NFC Least. Oops, was that a typo?
Texans 2-2 @49ers Texans have lost their confidence.
Browns 2-2 Bills Browns are the surprise team of the NFL at this point.
Bills 2-2 @Browns Outstanding defense, need the offense to help out.
Rams 1-3 Jaguars Rams started well, but have not produced like expected.
Jets 2-2 @Falcons It’s time for the rookie QB to start maturing for the Jets.
Cardinals 2-2 Panthers Cardinals show they can play with anyone. Too bad they are in the same division with the Seahawks and 49ers
Packers 1-2 Lions Packers had a week off, this week will show if it helped.
Falcons 1-3 Jets A lot of injuries for the Falcons this year. But 1-3?
Eagles 1-3 @Giants After the beating the Eagles just took they could have fallen further.
Redskins 1-3 bye After a win the last thing the Redskins needed was a week off.
Vikings 1-3 bye Cassell in and a win,
Raiders 1-3 Chargers All things considered, the Raiders just aren’t very good.
Panthers 1-2 @Cardinals Lets see if the Panthers have worked out their issues over the bye week.
Steelers 0-4 bye If their was ever a team that needed a bye week it is the Steelers.
Giants 0-4 Eagles Offense can’t hold on to the ball and defense can’t stop anybody.
Buccaneers 0-4 bye Defense is good but undisciplined. Offense needs therapy.
Jaguars 0-4 @Rams Jaguars really need a QB, why won’t they give Tebow a try?
Bye Week: Vikings, Steelers, Buccaneers, Redskins
