Payton to Attend the Hall of Fame Ceremony Saturday

Suspended Coach Sean Payton will be in Canton, Ohio this weekend for the Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony, according to Larry Holder of the New Orleans Times-Picayune who cites a league source.

Payton will not be attending Sunday night’s Hall of Fame Game as the Saints take on the Cardinals as he’s not allowed to because of the terms of his season-long suspension.

Payton received permission from the NFL to be able to attend the event, league spokesman Greg Aiello said.

Payton will have to call Ray Anderson, the league’s executive vice president of football operations, within 24 hours of any contact of anyone from an NFL team to detail his contact considering he’s barred from talking to anyone employed by an NFL team
