Brees Says He’d Never Miss a Whole Season, But “A Lot Can Happen”

One would think there is NO WAY that QB Drew Brees would hurt his legacy by sitting out an entire season, but Tuesday he said some pretty interesting things while making the media rounds.

While appearing on a couple TV and radio shows, Brees answered questions about the bounty situation and his contract, and while he’s not signed and sealed getting set for 2012.

“I would never sit out a football season,” Brees said in an interview with ESPN’s “Outside the Lines.” “I love the game too much. I love my team too much. But obviously, there’s a lot that can happen between now and then.”

The only thing that better happen between now and then is Brees and the Saints better get a deal done – end of story.
