Bush Says the Superdome Turf the Reason Behind His Injuries

In an interview with ESPN’s Colleen Dominguez, Reggie Bush blamed the Superdome turf for a lot of his injury struggles with the Saints. “I would attribute a lot of it to turf, to the FieldTurf,” Bush said. “There’s a difference between playing on grass, and then you play on FieldTurf and I feel like that attributes a big part to the injuries that happen in the NFL.”

Bush has missed 20 games due to various injuries, most to his knees and legs. Bush is expected to hit free agency after the Saints release him. It sounds like he may focus on potential suitors that play their home games on grass.

I don’t remember all of his injuries because there have been too many but he was injured last year on the Candlestick Park grass and on the QWest grass. I suppose he has to blame the injuries on something lest a suitor might conclude he was fragile but blaming it on playing surfaces that you will always have to play on in the NFL is kinda dumb. Actually, it’s big time dumb.
