Saints rookie DE Greg Romeus Hires Drew Rosenhaus

Saints rookie defensive end Greg Romeus has changed agents, his new agent, Miami Beach-based Drew Rosenhaus, announced on Twitter.

“New RSR client Greg Romeus was a steal for the Saints & will be a great addition,” Rosenhaus wrote. “His rehab’s been going well & he will be 100% healthy soon”.

The 6-5, 264-pound Romeus had 135 tackles, 38.5 tackles for a loss, and 19.5 quarterback sacks during his first three seasons at the University of Pittsburgh, which prompted him to consider entering the 2010 NFL Draft. Romeus returned for his senior season after not receiving a first-round grade from the NFL Advisory Committee.

Romeus underwent surgery on his back after the season-opener last September. In his first game back, he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, ending his college career and preventing him from working out for NFL teams prior to the draft.

The Saints used the first of their two seventh-round picks, number 226 overall, on Romeus.
