Bush points to Sunday night to getting back on the field

The Saints needed a lift after yesterday’s loss, and may be getting it back as running back and punt returner Reggie Bush said he has been cleared to play and says that X-rays of his fractured fibula show it has healed nicely.

Reports say that Bush is near 100 percent, but has still not tested the leg in live situations.

“Injuries are a part of this game, guys are going to get hurt,” he said. “Anytime you have key guys out you’re definitely not going to be as good because they are the guys who have been here, who know the system and have the experience. Once we get healthy we’ll be better, but are we going to be back to the old Saints, I don’t know. Because that takes the whole team to do.”

If Bush can go though a full week of practice, he is talking about playing Sunday night when the Saints host the 5-1 Steelers on Halloween night at home.

I wished Reggie was healthy! The team needs him. I am ready for him to come back STRONGER!!!!!!!

    • He would certainly help things about a bit as far as mixing things up a bit. The team has some other issues though that are keeping it from getting on track. Payton has to do a better deal as far as play calling. Thanks as always for your insightful comment.
