Saints Promote RB DeShawn Wynn Back to Active Roster

According to league sources, DeShawn Wynn’s agent has indicated that the Saints have promoted the running back from the practice squad to the active roster once again.

If you’ll recall, Wynn was released by the team to bring back Ladell Betts two weeks ago following Reggie Bush’s injury. Now, if I had to speculate, I’d guess that Wynn has been brought back in as insurance because Pierre Thomas is hurt and listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against Carolina. There is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding this move, particularly who the Saints are going to release to make room for Wynn. But considering that today was the last day that they could make a roster move before game day, you can best believe Coach Sean Payton is playing it safe rather than sorry.
