Six “Bubble” Players Confirmed for Saints 53-man Roster So Far

Friday was a brutal day in the NFL and Saints camp was no less so. As player after player fell by way of the chopping block, tension mounted surrounding the fate of so-called “bubble” players who were vying for spots on the 53-man roster. This is what I have learned so far.

According to NOLA.com, the following bubble players have been confirmed thus far:

DE Junior Galette
RB Chris Ivory
WR Adrian Arrington
QB Chase Daniel
RB DeShawn Wynn
S Usama Young

While the Saints have not officially confirmed any roster moves, players have apparently already been informed of their fate. According to NOLA.com, Galette found out he’d made the roster in a meeting Friday afternoon. There have also been reports circulating that rookie DT Al Woods did just enough in the game against the Titans to make the team, but to this point nothing has been confirmed.

Today is slated to be very busy due to the fact that the rest of the cuts are to be announced later. As I get the reports, I will pass them on to you. Congratulations to the players who have survived the cuts so far. To those who didn’t make it, we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
