Not a Lot of Margin of Error for OT Jermon Bushrod

The Times-Picayune says that OT Jermon Bushrod will be on a short leash when the 2010 season kicks off:

New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod will enter camp as the probable starter at left tackle despite past struggles against elite pass rushers according to Nick Peruffo of the New Orleans Times-Picayune. If Bushrod struggles early on, don’t be surprised if second round pick Charles Brown challenges for the starting position. Brown started every game at left tackle in his junior and senior seasons at USC. He switched from tight end to offensive tackle in 2005.

I’m looking forward to seeing Charles Brown take over for Strief in running situations. Being a former tight end, he might get out there and catch a pass or two. He’d probably be the only rookie tackle to catch a TD pass this season.
