Sporting News says that you can look for the Saints to sign free agent backup QB Patrick Ramsey at some point on Thursday:

The Saints are expected to make official the long-anticipated signing of journeyman QB Patrick Ramsey as early as Thursday, according to the NFL Network. It’s the first day the Saints, a Final Eight team, can sign another free agent in this uncapped season.

Ramsey, 31, spent last season with the Titans and Lions but did not appear in a game. He last played for the Broncos in ’08, completing 2-of-3 attempts in his lone appearance. Ramsey is expected to be the primary backup to Drew Brees with Sean Canfield and Chase Daniel battling for the No. 3 job, according to The Times-Picayune.
