OT Stinchcomb Undergoes Sports Hernia Surgery

Another off season, another sports hernia injury to report.

Saints Pro Bowl RT Jonathan Stinchcomb underwent sports hernia surgery Friday. The procedure, which took place in Philadelphia, is expected to sideline Stinchcomb 3-4 weeks, meaning he should be fit and ready to go at the start of training camp July 29th.

Stinchcomb suffered the injury while working this off season. He was supposed to host a charity golf tournament for Children’s Hospital at Beau Chene this Friday.

TE Jeremy Shockey, LB Jonathan Vilma, DE Will Smith, OT Jammal Brown, CB Jabari Greer and SS Usama Young all have had similar procedures done in the last couple of years.
