Saints Return To Practice Tuesday

The New Orleans Saints returned to practice Tuesday in preparation for this Saturday’s NFC Divisional Game against the Arizona Cardinals. Judging by player participation in Tuesday’s practice, the bye week served the Saints well. WR Lance Moore, RB Pierre Thomas and CB Malcolm Jenkins were the only Saints limited at the team’s first practice for Saturday’s game.

“Guys are eager to get back there on the practice field and eager to get back out there on the game field. The whole momentum thing is fine, but you won’t know who has the momentum until the lights come on Saturday afternoon.” Saints CB Tracy Porter reported

The Saints held practice at the Saints’ practice facility on Saturday and Sunday. The team mostly practiced fundamentals and offense vs defense scrimmages. The players enjoyed practicing against each other in an ultra-competitive pre-season like setting.

“When you go O vs. D like that, and they’re coming out as sharp as it gets, and defensively we’re throwing some different stuff at them, and a lot of trash-talking back and forth, it gets ultra-competitive, ” LB Scott Fujita said. “And that’s good for us right now.”
