Looks as if RB Bush Will Miss Game vs Dolphins

NFL.com says that it looks like Reggie Bush could miss the final preseason game vs the Fins:

Running back Reggie Bush could miss his third straight preseason game on Thursday night when the Saints host Miami. Bush, who hasn’t played since straining his right calf during joint practices with the Houston Texans during training camp, has only three carries for 5 yards during the entire preseason – all in the exhibition opener Aug. 14. Bush said Tuesday that he has felt healthy enough to play throughout camp, but did not feel the need to risk injury in exhibition games.

Reggie Bush is saving himself for the regular season so that when he does get hurt, at least it’ll be in a meaningful game. The guy was born injured. And if he isn’t tough enough to last through training camp, there’s no need to believe he’ll make it during the regular season.

The Saints, thankfully, can win without him. Hopefully, Bush can remain healthy enough to make a positive impact in a few games here and there.

At this point, I feel Bush may hurt us more than help us, but he’ll definitely hurt himself.

I wonder how much money another team will be willing to pay him after his rookie contract expires. Probably league minimum… unless he can get out there and prove something to everyone… including his fans.
