Saints Like What They See From DE Hargrove

Sporting News reports that the Saints seem excited about 26-year-old Anthony Hargrove:

The Saints took a chance on the 26-year-old DE Anthony Hargrove, who was suspended for the entire 2008 season after failing a second drug test and so far the team has been impressed by this sleeper candidate to make the roster. Hargrove, a former third-round pick who has played with the Rams and Bills, has a history of off-field struggles, dating back to his college days at Georgia Tech but linebackers coach Joe Vitt worked with him in St. Louis, and the Saints believe Hargrove wants to get on the right track. If Hargrove is able to do that, the Saints believe he can be an impact situational pass rusher at end or tackle that they could use with in Weeks 1-4 when starting DEs Will Smith and Charles Grant are scheduled to serve suspensions.
