The Saints re-signed undrafted rookie guard Shawn Flanagan on Monday and waived tackle Augustus Parrish.
Flanagan, a 6-foot-5, 310-pounder from the University of Sioux Falls played tackle in college. He began his career at Oregon, where he was a part-time starter as both a freshman and sophomore. But he transferred after failing to meet academic requirements.
Flanagan tried out with the Minnesota Vikings in May before auditioning with the Saints during rookie minicamp. He signed with the Saints at the end of rookie minicamp May 10 and was released May 22.
