The New Orleans Saints have signed former Detroit Lions tight end Dan Campbell to a contract, according to Adam Caplan of Scout.com.
However, no contract details were released on a deal that was quietly struck earlier this week.
Campbell was cut by the Lions on February 9.
A former Texas A&M standout, Campbell is considered a hard-nosed blocking tight end at 6-foot-5, 262 pounds.
