Posted in Today the Saints made two roster moves, cutting both their kicker and punter. The team cut ties with kicker Taylor Mehlhaff, and also punter Ben Graham. As of this point, the team has not made any official roster moves to replace the duo. Both had their issues and the team needs to upgrade each position if they are going to make a serious run at the NFC South title and the postseason.

So are NFL rookies not allowed to screw up at all anymore? How does Sean Payton ever expect anyone to become comfortable in New Orleans if they know every kick could be their last. He has had 5 kickers and I am willing to guess this has more to do with his coaching style than the odds of having 5 bad kickers.
