Posted in Could coach Sean Payton be on his way out of New Orleans and into the arms of the Michigan Wolverines? That’s the big question as the 43-year-old coach has heard from the U of M about their coaching opening, and to date he’s the only head coach in the NFL that has been contacted by Michigan. “They’ve expressed interest,” a source told the Detroit News. “There was interest in Sean using ‘unofficial’ intermediaries.” Payton and the Saints have had a down season, but it’s unlikely that he would leave the Big Easy to head up North to coach the Wolverines.
